These SDGs, also known as the global goals, are a universal call of action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity,” he said. Seven working groups had been formed which held about 60 brainstorming meetings to give final shape to this vision document, he added.

The state government is in the process of preparing a State Resident Data Base (SRDB) to ensure that only the eligible beneficiaries get the benefit of various welfare schemes, he said.
A survey would soon be carried out so that new schemes and programmes could be prepared as per the need and requirement of the people, he said.
