Saatvik Green Energy Pvt Ltd, India’s leading and most trusted solar module manufacturer has secured 4MW Solar Module supply order after reverse auction conducted by BHEL.

This marquee project will be accomplished at 2 thermal power plants in Uttar Pradesh.For the stated projects, Saatvik will deliver highly efficient premium grade ALMM-approved, Mono Perc Half cut MBB modules by the year-end.BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited) will engineer and execute this landmark project. BHEL will take complete ownership of engineering, purchase, and installation at both locations.

BHEL lately issued a tender of 4MW for monocrystalline modules for two planned flagship projects to be accomplished at two thermal power plants in Uttar Pradesh. Out of the overall tender floated by BHEL, 2.5 MW of installation is to be executed at the Obra thermal power plant in the Sonbhadra district, and nearly about 1.6 MW of installation respectively is to be accomplished and executed at the Jawaharpur power house thermal plant in the Etah district of Uttar Pradesh.

Tata Power on Wednesday said that it has inked a pact to develop a 4-MWp solar project at Tata Motors’ Pune plant.

“Tata Motors and Tata Power have entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to develop a 4-MWp on-site solar project at Tata Motors’ Pune commercial vehicle manufacturing facility,” a BSE filing said.

The installation is collectively expected to generate 5.8 million units of electricity, potentially mitigating over 10 lakh tonnes of carbon emission. This is equivalent to planting over 16 lakh teak trees over a lifetime, it stated.

Alok Kumar Singh, Plant Head, Commercial Vehicle Manufacturing Facility, Tata Motors, said, “In FY22, the total renewable energy contribution at our CV Pune plant was 32 per cent. With this agreement, we reaffirm our commitment to moving closer to our goals of cultivating 100 per cent renewable energy capacity.”

Until FY22, Tata Motors at its Pune plant, including at its passenger and commercial vehicle manufacturing facilities, deployed 15 MWp solar project, generating 21 million kWh of renewable electricity.

Over the next few years, the company plans to expand the solar capacity of its Pune plant to meet the growing demand for renewable energy.

In FY22, across all its plants in India, the company generated 92.39 million kWh of renewable electricity for its manufacturing operations, which is 19.4 per cent of the total power consumption.

Stove Kraft has informed that on 16th April 2021, the Board of Directors have, approved a green energy project to install 4 MW of renewable energy which is Hybrid and Roof top solar.

The Green Energy Project when fully commissioned will cater to about 80% of the power requirement to the Company and significantly bring down the power cost, as stated by the Company.

The project is scheduled to be commissioned by end of October, 2021.

On Sensex today, Stove Kraft was trading at Rs468.85 per piece down by Rs13.60 or 2.82%, at around 10:43 AM.

Previously, the trading was closed at Rs482.45 per piece on the BSE.

Chennai: Dollar Industries Ltd, one of the leading brands in the hosiery segment, has set up a 4MW solar power plant at its facility in Tamil Nadu, making it self- reliant and sustainable in power generation. Dollar Industries Ltd has invested Rs 18 crore in the solar plant, commissioned by Coimbatore-based Indway Power Energy Ltd. The objective for installing the solar plant was not only to reduce costs but also make the spinning unit at Tirupur ”sustainable” and ”self reliant”, the company said.

The solar plant was part of Dollar”s ”Green Mission” initiative and has capacity to generate 75 lakh power units annually. According to company executive-managing director and promoter, Binay Kumar Gupta the power generated from the solar power plant would primarily be used for the spinning unit. “.. excess power will be utilised to feed the dyeing unit, which is located at SIPCOT Industrial Park in Perundurai”, he said. Managing Director of Dollar Industries Ltd, Vinod Kumar Gupta said, “with the current pandemic situation, it is imperative to reduce costs and at the same time also create a clean and eco-friendly manufacturing facility protecting the environment”.

“We at Dollar have been making constant efforts to operate in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner,” he said. The stock market listed Dollar Industries, besides serving the domestic market also ships its products to UAE, Iraq, Jordan, Nepal, Sudan, Bahrain among others.
